Having spent years designing beautiful houses for other people, this was their opportunity to build a home for themselves. They approached us with a clear vision of what they wanted, and we were delighted to bring that vision to life across the kitchen, utility room, bedrooms and more. This was one of the most thoughtfully crafted kitchens Essex has seen, with handcrafted detailing in every chosen room.
From the outset, the brief focused on classic design with exquisite detailing. Every space needed to feel cohesive, high-end and timeless. The kitchen was at the heart of the project, but we also created furniture for the utility room, TV lounge, media unit, vanity and master bedroom suites. The client wanted each space to reflect the same level of craftsmanship and elegance, with carefully considered beading and joinery throughout.
As an independent kitchen designer, we worked closely with the client at every stage. Their clear sense of style and appreciation for bespoke detailing made this a very collaborative and enjoyable design process. Having seen our work on previous developments, the client trusted our team to deliver something truly personal, with quality and individuality at its core.
The kitchen was finished in a soft magnolia tone, chosen for its warm and timeless feel. Every piece of cabinetry was hand-painted, creating a rich and textured finish that brought a sense of depth to the space. As with all of our kitchens Essex clients commission from us, the finish was achieved using traditional methods that allow for future touch-ups and ensure long-lasting beauty.
Storage was an important part of the brief. We incorporated deep drawers and generous larder cupboards, giving the client practical solutions that also complemented the classic design. What made this kitchen truly stand out were the personal touches introduced throughout, including bespoke window pelmets and unique cabinet detailing. These individual features gave the space character and made it feel entirely their own.

Every part of this project was built by our experienced joiners at our Great Yeldham workshop. The kitchen, along with all additional fitted furniture, was crafted in-house and hand finished on site. The level of bespoke detailing meant the installation required great care and attention, but the result was more than worth it.
This was a deeply personal build for the client. We collaborated closely with their wider team to ensure the design was delivered to perfection across the entire home. The bespoke mantle in the kitchen was a particular highlight, offering a sense of grandeur while remaining in keeping with the classic look.
